Spring is here and that means our winter break is over and it is time to get hustling! The seedlings are growing in the greenhouse, CSA registrations are coming in and we have lots of baby chicks to care for. Spring is a time of new life and the farm is where we see that the most! Spring bulbs are peaking up out of the cold ground and the trees are budding.
We are still taking registrations for our 2018 CSA season. If you have been thinking about joining, now is the time to get any questions you have answered and get signed up. We did sell out last year so don't delay. Check out the CSA page here for any questions you may have. If that doesn't answer all of your questions, just call or email and Lori will be glad to tell you all she can about how it all works.
Our new and improved roadside stand will be out soon! We will start the season with eggs and asparagus and continue from there. So watch for signs on the corners around the farm, or take a nice slow cruise down Lorenson Road to check us out! We will also be opening for regular hours in June. We will be open Monday and Thursday evenings from 4:30-6:30 which are also the CSA pick up days/times, however anyone is welcome to stop in and see what we have available and visit with the animals! We are also planning a few open-house events throughout the year so watch our Facebook page for more details!
We are still offering fresh pork on a regular cycle. So approximately every three months we will have more hogs to process. If you are interested in a whole or half hog, let us know and we can put you on the list for the next round. Chickens will be available fresh in June and again in the October. When they are not available fresh we offer them frozen while supplies last.
Please be sure to follow us on Facebook, and Instagram for up to date information about the farm and what we have to offer.
Until we see you,
Peace to you and yours!
