The Dog Days of Summer
Oh Summer! A time to hit the beautiful beaches of West Michigan and enjoy the warm starry nights on the farm! Oh! And weed the garden!
We are happy to be filling CSA orders weekly and enjoying the fruits (or vegetables as it may be) of our labor regularly. Most nights we are able to enjoy dinner mostly, if not all from our farm. We are so happy to share that delicious food with others as well! With 13 CSA families this year we are enjoying meeting new people and sharing our love of healthy food.
We are open two days each week for visitors. Wednesdays from 4:30-6:30 in the evenings and Saturdays from 9:00-Noon. We ask that outside of these hours you respect that we are a working farm and also live here. We are not available outside of these days/times for farm tours unless otherwise planned ahead. John and Lori both also work full time off the farm, as farming is a tough way to make a living! We love sharing our farm with others, so please feel free to stop out during our 'open' hours! We do not currently have a self serve roadside stand, but we are considering opening one, so keep an eye out for news on that!
We are now offering fresh pork on a regular cycle. So approximately every three months we will have more hogs to process. If you are interested in a whole or half hog, let us know and we can put you on the list for the next round. Chickens are also available fresh in July and again in the fall (likely November as we aim for Thanksgiving). When they are not available fresh we offer them frozen while supplies last.
Please be sure to follow us on Facebook for up to date information about the farm and what we have to offer.
Until we see you,
Peace to you and yours!
